Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut was convicted on Thursday in a defamation case filed by BJP leader Kirit Somaiya’s wife Dr Medha Kirit Somaiya. Vivekanand Gupta, advocate appearing for Somaiya, said Metropolitan Magistrate Mazgaon convicted Raut and imprisoned him for 15 days in connection with he case. The court also imposed a fine of ₹25,0000 on him, news agency ANI reported.
